Hartwood Acres Needs You!
Enjoy an opportunity to be a part of Pittsburgh's past...
Hartwood Acres, now owned and operated by Allegheny County, was originally built as an equestrian estate. The Tudor Mansion, stable complex and gate lodge were designed by Alfred Hopkins and built for John and Mary Flinn Lawrence in 1929.
The Mansion is maintained as a house that evokes the elegant lifestyle of the Lawrence family and is a symbol of the changing American culture of the past century.
Hartwood Acres is looking for volunteers to give tours of the mansion and work on other projects. If interested, please call the Mansion at (412) 767-9200.
