PITTSBURGH – Allegheny County Public Works today announced that Spring Run Road Extension in Moon Township has reopened to all traffic between Boggs School Road and North Flaugherty Run Road. The roadway had been closed since early August for replacement of the Boggs Run Bridge.

The Allegheny County Department of Public Works maintains 810 lane-miles of road, more than 520 bridges, and more than 12,000 acres of parkland and related facilities. In addition, the department maintains and improves building infrastructure and ensures the safety and reliability of the County’s vehicle fleet and heavy equipment. On November 28, 2007, the Allegheny County Department of Public Works became the first public works agency in Pennsylvania to be accredited by the American Public Works Association.
