Autopsy

Program Overview

Interns are afforded the hands on opportunity to work side by side with Forensic Pathologist and highly trained Autopsy Technicians.  Interns will be exposed to post mortem examinations including eviscerations, the art of digital photography and x-rays, gathering and retaining evidence, neuropathology dissections, recording notes for the pathologist and technicians.  This is not an all inclusive list of duties with each case being unique in its own way.  In addition interns will be exposed to the Histology section where microscopic examination of tissue takes place.

This internship program is a “Hands on” experience you will have the opportunity to learn everything a trained autopsy technician does including research projects.
